At its annual meeting on January 19, 2007 the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Institute of Architects accorded honorary membership to Martin L. Gross, Senior Counsel to S&H.
The citation reads in part: "…For his outstanding assistance to the profession through important legislative reforms, his service on the Concord City Planning Board, as counsel to Governors, as a member of the Concord City Council including six years as Mayor, as a visionary chairman of boards and foundations; he combines his love of architecture with his strong belief that everyone deserves to be included in the process of designing a healthy and affordable community that cares for every member."
