On Tuesday, April 28, 2009, Deputy Attorney General Bud Fitch, Director of the Office of Economic Stimulus, will speak at Meet the Commissioners series. The program will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in The Gallery at Sulloway & Hollis, 29 School Street, Concord N.H. Deputy Attorney General Bud Fitch, director of the Office of Economic Stimulus will speak about New Hampshire’s implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 as part of a series of business leaders’ forums co-sponsored by Sulloway & Hollis, P.L.L.C, and the NH Business and Industry Association. Mr. Fitch will make brief remarks and answer questions at the Meet the Commissioners program to be held on Tuesday, April 28th from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Sulloway & Hollis law offices, located at 29 School Street in Concord. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, or ARRA is expected to bring between one-half and three-quarters of a billion dollars into New Hampshire. Jobs will be created and schools, municipalities, and the State will have a one-time opportunity to create lasting enhancements while avoiding creating future demands for additional state and local revenue. The Office of Economic Stimulus was established by an Executive Order issued by Governor John H. Lynch to coordinate the implementation of ARRA by New Hampshire departments, to ensure that New Hampshire seeks every opportunity to bring ARRA funds into New Hampshire, to ensure the transparency of New Hampshire’s use of ARRA tax dollars, and to assist recipients of ARRA funds to use the funds in conformance with federal laws and regulations.
