Attorneys Imse, Anderson, and Manzelli represent Androscoggin Valley Regional Refuse Disposal District.
October 2007 - Concord, NH: Attorneys Peter F. Imse, R. Carl Anderson, and Amy Manzelli recently represented the Androscoggin Valley Regional Refuse Disposal District (the District) in connection with a successful closing on the acquisition of a wastewater treatment plant in Berlin, NH.
The prior owner of the plant, Fraser Paper, planned to cease operations at the plant after Fraser Paper closed its nearby pulp mill, but the District depends upon the plant to treat leachate that its operation of the Mount Carberry Landfill generates. The District retained Sulloway's Real Estate, Commercial Finance, and Land Use Practice Group to negotiate the District's purchase of the plant, including an agreement with Fraser Paper to operate the plant.
Attorney Imse was the lead attorney on the project, while Attorney Anderson handled the title work and Attorney Manzelli handled the environmental considerations associated with the transaction. Additionally, Attorneys Imse and Manzelli negotiated solid waste and effluent treatment agreements with the company dismantling Fraser Paper's former pulp mill.
