NH Director of Charitable Trusts,
Michael DeLucia To Speak at
Meet the Commissioners Series.

November 2007 - Concord, NH:
PROGRAM CONTACT: Kevin O'Shea, Sulloway & Hollis, 603-224-2341.

The Director of the Charitable Trusts Division of the NH Department of Justice, Michael DeLucia, will speak on the growth of the nonprofit sector in New Hampshire, protecting charitable assets and efforts to maintain public confidence in New Hampshire's charities, as part of a series of business leaders' forums co-sponsored by Sulloway & Hollis, P.L.L.C., and the NH Business and Industry Association.

Senior Assistant Attorney General DeLucia will make brief remarks and answer questions at the Meet the Commissioners program to be held on Tuesday, November 27th from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Sulloway & Hollis law offices, located at 29 School Street in Concord.

The Charitable Trust Unit of the New Hampshire Department of Justice has as its core mission the protection of charitable assets, working with governing boards and reviewing the filings those charities make with the Unit. Charitable nonprofits have assets in excess of $13 billion in New Hampshire and provide critical services in many sectors, including health and education.

Douglas Chamberlain, chair of the Business Group at the Sulloway & Hollis law firm, who helped organize the Meet the Commissioners series, noted, “Protecting charitable assets and ensuring that charities and their governing boards act with integrity and within the law is vital if we are to keep faith with donors, clients and other constituencies, and maintain public trust in these organizations."

The next Meet the Commissioners program will feature George Bald, Commissioner of the Department of Resources & Economic Development (December 18). Additional speakers for 2008 will be announced soon.

The program is open to the public without charge; however, seating is limited. To reserve your seat, please contact rsvp@sulloway.com or 603-223-2896.
