Deborah B. Butler, C.P.A., joined the firm in 1999. She is
a certified public accountant.
Ms. Butler concentrates her practice in tax advice and tax appeals with the Internal Revenue Service, the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration, and various other tax authorities. Her practice also includes estate planning, trust management, and complex business transactions. Ms. Butler has many years of both audit and management experience.
Ms. Butler is the Chair of the New Hampshire Judicial Retirement Board of Trustees, she was appointed to the Board by the Governor and Council in 2007. Ms. Butler also is a member and former Chair of the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy, she was appointed to the Board by the Governor and Council in 2001. The Board licenses certified public accountants and oversees their practice. She is a graduate of Leadership NH, class '04. She is a member of the New Hampshire Humanities Council Board of Trustees and Chair of the Nominations Committee. Ms. Butler chaired a $1.2 million capital campaign to permanently preserve the beautiful 175-acre property known as Sunnycrest Orchard in Concord, New Hampshire. In January 2006, she was instrumental in raising $1.3 million for the preservation of Dimond Hill Farm. Ms. Butler was honored by the National Kidney Foundation with its Gift of Life Award for her kidney donation and her efforts on behalf of organ donation awareness.
Ms. Butler graduated from New England College. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked for the Department of Revenue Administration for the State of New Hampshire. Ms. Butler resides in Concord, New Hampshire where her two sons attend public schools.
