Timothy A. Gudas

Timothy A. Gudas, a Member of Sulloway & Hollis , concentrates his practice in litigation, labor and employment law, and appellate matters. He is co-leader of the firm's Labor and Employment Group.

Mr. Gudas handles cases before the state and federal courts in New Hampshire and before various administrative agencies, and he regularly represents employers in disputes at New Hampshire's Commission for Human Rights and Department of Labor. His appellate work has produced major decisions for the firm's clients, both at the New Hampshire Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm in 1997, Mr. Gudas clerked for the New Hampshire Supreme Court and practiced for two years in New York.

  • Successfully defended New Hampshire employer against disability-discrimination claim, resulting in the dismissal of the action
  • Successfully defended national company in a trade-secrets lawsuit, resulting in the denial of injunctive relief and the dismissal of the lawsuit
  • Co-authored appellate brief that led the New Hampshire Supreme Court to overrule precedent and to restore broad tort immunity for New Hampshire employers
