Edward M. Kaplan
Edward M. Kaplan specializes in labor/employment areas. Mr. Kaplan’s management labor practice involves the representation of health-care institutions, educational institutions, business and private employers. His work with these clients includes the defense of employment matters before federal and state courts, collective bargaining and participation in numerous arbitrations and administrative matters before the National Labor Relations Board and administrative agencies throughout the Northeast. Mr. Kaplan also acts as general counsel to many of these institutions in providing advice regarding labor and employment issues. In the area of litigation, Mr. Kaplan’s practice includes professional and products liability. Mr. Kaplan has tried more than 100 cases throughout New Hampshire and the Northeast and has appeared before the First and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the New Hampshire Supreme Court more than 25 times, often arguing matters of first impression in New Hampshire. He has achieved an “AV” rating (Martindale Hubbell), has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America since 1987 and in its Super Lawyer category since the designation initiated. Mr. Kaplan was honored with election to membership in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in 2004.
