Fred Potter Fred L. Potter
Fred L. Potter is Senior Counsel to Sulloway & Hollis, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance regulatory, corporate governance (in both profit and non-profit sectors), commercial finance and transactional (including M&A) matters. He also has expertise in legal issues involving computer and software companies. He was President of Christian Mutual Life Insurance Company from 1980 to 1996, and has served as a board member or key advisor to several business corporations, both privately and publicly held. Mr. Potter is the managing member of CML Administrators, an organization which specializes in serving not-for-profit organizations. Through CML, Mr. Potter served as the founding Executive Director of the New Hampshire Individual Health Plan (which offers health insurance to all medically-uninsured New Hampshire residents) and of the New Hampshire Vaccine Association (which provides funding so that 100% of New Hampshire children have access to all medically-recommended vaccines, without charge). Since 2009, Mr. Potter has served as the Executive Director and CEO of the Christian Legal Society, a nationwide association of Christian lawyers headquartered in Metro DC and now approaching its 50th anniversary. Through CLS, Mr. Potter leads the work supporting four major ministry activities throughout the United States: Attorney ministries, Law Student ministries, Advocacy (primarily 1st Amendment Religious Liberty concerns) and Pro Bono services for the poor and needy through over 60 legal aid clinics. |
