Jeanine
L. Poole concentrates her practice in labor
and employment law.
A substantial portion of her practice involves advising clients,
in both the private and public
sectors, in all areas of employment
law, from employment-related decisions, and wage and hour issues,
to the preparation and implementation of effective employment practices
and policies. Ms. Poole has successfully negotiated a number of
school district collective bargaining agreements for groups including
administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, transportation, food
service and maintenance personnel, and regularly advises school
districts with regard to employment issues.
Ms. Poole is one of the editors of the New Hampshire Employment
Law Letter, a monthly newsletter edited by members of the firm's
Labor &
Employment Group and designed to keep New Hampshire employers up
to date on developments in employment and labor law in both the
private and public sector. Ms. Poole is also a frequent speaker
on employment law issues.
Ms. Poole is a past Chair of the Steering Committee and a graduate
of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Greater
Concord program. She also serves as a corporator and Chair of the Personnel
Committee of Canterbury Shaker Village.
Ms.
Poole, a New Hampshire native, graduated from Smith College in 1983
with a double major in psychology and economics, and from Cornell
Law School in 1989. While at Cornell, Ms. Poole also attended the
Industrial and Labor Relations School.
