Mr.
Harrington devotes considerable time to the rights of retirement
annuity policy holders and has a particular interest in complex
cases involving the innovative application of legal theories
to unusual fact situations. Two such cases, each of which involved
a commitment by the firm to several years of investigation and
litigation, resulted in the most significant successes for the
Firm’s clients in the last 10 years.
Mr.
Harrington recently served as counsel to the State of New Hampshire
in its case against the State of Maine in the U.S. Supreme Court
concerning the location of the border between the two states.
Mr.
Harrington graduated from Dartmouth College in 1980 and from
Harvard Law School in 1983. He is Secretary of the Dartmouth
Alumni for Open Governance. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced law in New York City.
Mr.
Harrington is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire and New
York.
