Our
Practice
Our
goal is to superbly structure our client’s assets to minimize
tax exposure and to execute a smooth transition of wealth and assets
from one generation to the next.
We
represent individuals and businesses on preparing trusts, family
limited partnerships, tax returns, and succession plans. To avoid
costly incompetency and guardianship hearings, we execute powers
of attorney, advanced directives for medical treatment, and durable
powers of attorneys.
We
have decades of experience in protecting family businesses. We structure
them to insure the business stays in the family in the event of
the death of a principal owner. When our family business client
chooses to sell or gift their business interests we structure the
transaction to minimize tax exposure.
In
the trust area, we structure specialty estate planning trusts including
charitable trusts and GRATs to take advantage of available tax savings.
We plan IRA investments with generation-skipping vehicles and with
multi-generational incentive-type trusts. In addition, we draft
trusts for disabled individuals and counsel parents of disabled
children on how to maximize government benefits for their children.
Our
Strength
Our Sulloway attorney team includes a C.P.A. who authored the NH
State Audit Program. This “insider” knowledge of the
audit system gives our clients the opportunity to get the best
possible
result.
Our
Success
Our attorneys and C.P.A. are proficient in all areas of income tax and estate
tax audits. We have saved our clients millions of dollars in taxes using estate
planning
techniques that range from the simple to the most sophisticated.
To
maximize cash awards for our clients in jury awards or settlements,
we craft documents to minimize tax exposure.
