W. Kirk Abbott, Jr. joined the firm in 1992 following nine years
of criminal defense work in the trial and appellate courts of New
Hampshire. He concentrates his practice in litigation on healthcare matters, including defending hospitals, physicians, and other
providers in medical malpractice cases,
representing healthcare providers before state and federal regulatory
agencies, and advising
hospitals and healthcare providers on related matters. He is a
member of the federal and state bars and the Defense Research Institute.
Mr.
Abbott serves as general counsel to a 300-member northern New England
physician’s organization which provides a wide range of physician
services.
Mr.
Abbott graduated from Bowdoin College in 1973 and from Franklin
Pierce Law Center in 1983.
