Mr. Henlin is a member at Sulloway & Hollis and a member of the Executive Committee that guides the firm.  He’s the former co-chair of the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance group and for more than fifteen years, he has counseled and represented insurers and reinsurers in arbitrations, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He has served as lead counsel in both trial-court and appellate proceedings throughout the New England region.

Mr. Henlin brings a pragmatic approach to complex insurance-coverage questions. He has deep familiarity with both primary and excess-layer insurance programs, covering both first-party and third-party exposures. He regularly writes and presents on issues affecting coverage under general liability, D&O, E&O, and professional liability insurance policies, including emerging risks.

Mr. Henlin has represented both cedants and reinsurers in arbitration proceedings under both facultative certificates and treaty programs. He regularly counsels both ceding and reinsuring companies about their rights and obligations.

Mr. Henlin has experience defending consumer financial claims against lenders and loan servicers. He has successfully defended his clients before both trial and appeals courts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York, in addition to negotiating amicable resolutions to dozens of other claims.
