Allyson L. Moore is an attorney at Sulloway & Hollis. She represents a broad base of clients in litigation and corporate transaction matters. In her litigation practice, Allyson represents insurance companies, non-profit organizations, healthcare organizations, and various commercial entities involved in business-related disputes. In her transactional practice, she assists clients from business formation through merger or dissolution, along with any corporate governance, real estate or land use, and general business matters that arise. Allyson joined the firm in 2019 and works in our Concord, New Hampshire office.
Allyson represents and defends private employers before the N.H. Department of Labor, as well as the N.H. Commission for Human Rights. She also advises businesses on a broad range of employment matters, ranging from personnel management, federal compliance, non-discrimination policies and practices, medical leave, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Allyson also works with employers to develop their employee handbooks, including policies related to wage and hour reporting, confidentiality, and COVID-related matters. She also has experience with conducting harassment and other workplace investigations.
Allyson represents insurance companies in Coverage and Bad Faith matters. She conducts coverage assessments for domestic insurers under automobile, commercial property, general liability, excess, homeowners, and other specialized policy forms. Allyson’s litigation expertise extends to handling declaratory judgment actions for insurers, along with defending against claims of bad faith practices.
She also assists clients with commercial real estate transactions, including land use and zoning concerns, planning and subdivision applications, environmental considerations, purchase or leasing agreements, and in matters before the New Hampshire Housing Appeals Board.
In her business practice, Allyson works with several small businesses and non-profit organizations, including minority- and women-owned enterprises. Allyson assists these clients form and operate successful business ventures, delivering personalized legal solutions. She can also advise clients through the process of seeking minority and women’s business enterprise certifications.
In addition to her employment, insurance, real estate/environmental, and business practices, Allyson has experience working with healthcare providers on HIPAA and other privacy-related matters, and in matters before the Boards of Pharmacy and Nursing. She also has experience assisting with licensing and regulatory matters before the N.H. Liquor Commission.
Allyson received her J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2019 and her B.A. from Colorado College. During law school, she was the Senior Managing Editor of Vermont Law Review, competed on the National Moot Court Team, served as a Teaching Assistant in the Legal Research Department, served as a Dean’s Fellow in the Legal Writing Department, and worked in the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic. Prior to joining Sulloway, she interned at the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Law Bureau.
A devoted animal lover, Allyson sits on the Executive Committee and Board of the Pope Memorial SPCA. She and her partner are the proud parents of their rescue cats, Fern & Nyla and rescue dog, Wally. When not working, she is a passionate collector of classic novels and rarely turns down an opportunity to play the guitar or try a new craft beer.
