Beth Catenza is a Member at Sulloway & Hollis. She focuses her practice on advising and defending healthcare professionals and institutions in matters involving patient care in a multitude of settings.

Beth is an effective and aggressive advocate for her clients. She represents and defends hospitals, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and other healthcare entities and staff, in medical malpractice lawsuits in state and federal courts, and administrative, licensing boards, hospital committees, mediation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.  Beth frequently appears before the Board of Medicine and has successfully defended multiple physicians in high-stakes physician discipline matters.

Ms. Catenza advises clients on health care administrative, regulatory and litigation issues.  This includes counsel on best practice, risk assessment and HIPAA compliance as well as providing fraud and abuse advice.  She works with providers and health care entities on preventing Medicare and Medicaid exclusion. She has successfully represented physicians in disputes with state Medicaid health plans to prevent de-credentialing.

As a past chair of Sulloway’s litigation practice group, Beth has advised hospital leaders, their counsel and compliance departments in all manner of regulatory matters and is valued for her honest and straightforward approach. Whether she’s providing counseling, early resolution, or heading to trial, she focuses on her client’s objectives and keeps them well informed of developments in their case.

Comfortable in front of a judge, jury or regulatory board, Ms. Catenza has significant experience representing clients in a wide variety of complex litigation matters, including defending public utilities against general liability claims and investigating and defending complex fire, explosion, electrocution, and electrical contact cases.

For many years, Beth has been elected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© in the field of Medical Malpractice Defense. Beth is regularly asked to speak to hospital personnel and physician groups regarding avoiding litigation, best practices and other healthcare legal issues.

During her time away from the office, Beth enjoys the outdoors and all that New Hampshire has to offer. She is an experienced rock and ice climber and enjoys all manner of live music.
