Eric Passeggio is a Member at Sulloway & Hollis. Eric defends clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Eric is based in our Concord, NH and Boston, MA, offices.

Eric’s practice primarily involves representing clients who are involved with or are defending against high-exposure losses and complex claims. Eric brings a deliberate, thoughtful, and collaborative team approach to cases, which emphasizes understanding his client’s broader interests as well as early and continuous assessments dispute strengths and weaknesses, which allows the defense team to plan, pursue, and achieve a successful result based on the circumstances. As part of his practice, Eric keeps up to date with litigation trends that may impact the outcome of disputes.

Eric also has 20 years of experience advising clients in the utility and energy industries – such as natural gas and electric distribution companies and propane retailers – in incident investigations; claims for wrongful death, personal injury and property damage; and associated claims for indemnity and insurance coverage. In addition to catastrophic accidents, his experience representing public utilities includes claims arising from third-party damage, line contact, vegetation management, outages, carbon monoxide, and other incidents that arise during the course of utility operations.

Eric’s experience includes litigating in federal and state courts throughout New England. He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire state courts and the U.S. District Courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He has also represented clients and collaborated with counsel in cases in over a dozen states. In addition to serving as lead, second-chair and local counsel, Eric has assisted other counsel on specialized issues related to litigating fire and explosion claims.

When not working, Eric enjoys traveling with his wife and two children. He especially looks forward to trips to Disney World, which his family has been doing since his children were very young. A hockey player since he was a child, Eric still laces them up in a weekly league.
