John O’Neill is a member at Sulloway & Hollis. He is an experienced litigator who provides strategic counsel and advocacy to a diverse range of clients in high-stakes disputes. His practice focuses on insurance coverage, business litigation, and professional liability matters.
Mr. O’Neill advises and represents clients in coverage litigation involving professional liability, director-and-officer liability, pollution liability, general liability, and property insurance. He also represents clients in suits for bad faith and extra-contractual liability. Mr. O’Neill previously served as the co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Insurance and Reinsurance Committee, and is presently a Director of the Massachusetts Insurance and Reinsurance Bar Association.
Mr. O’Neill also helps businesses and business owners protect their interests in a wide range of commercial disputes. He has extensive experience defending clients in consumer protection class actions. He has also represented clients in ownership disputes, contract and construction disputes, and fraud/unfair competition claims.
Mr. O’Neill represents attorneys in professional liability claims and disciplinary proceedings. He previously served as a disciplinary-hearing officer for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers and is presently a member of the Boston Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Ethics.
In his spare time, Mr. O’Neill enjoys skiing and spending time outdoors with his family. He helps maintain public-use hiking trails in his community and volunteers with his local Scouts BSA troop.
