We are seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator to join our busy business office. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for preparing invoices for clients, ensuring client and matter details and notes are correct and updated in the billing system, editing time entry details, and processing matter activity into accurate bills on a timely basis. This position will be onsite in our Concord, NH office.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting all billing operations of the firm
  • Ensure client and matter details and notes are correct and updated in the billing system
  • Researching and responding to inquiries from attorneys and support staff
  • Reviewing and editing pre-bills in response to attorney and support staff requests
  • Editing time entry details, and processing matter activity into accurate bills on a timely basis
  • Assisting with obtaining information required for e-billing and liaising with e-billing coordinators
  • Assistance with the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Additional responsibilities of performing client matter openings and maintaining client rates
  • May also perform a variety of other accounting and bookkeeping duties

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and & productivity skills
  • Hands-on experience in the processing of legal bills
  • Experience with third-party electronic billing is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work Independently
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures (posting, balancing, debits/credits and journal entries)
  • Proficiency in basic accounting principles and the ability to perform mathematical functions
