Patience E. Carlier Elected Chair of the Trusts and Estates Section of the NH Bar
Sulloway attorney Patience Carlier has been elected as Chair of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association. This active section of the NH Bar association was established to help improve the professional knowledge and skills of its members related to estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate litigation, fiduciary, income and transfer taxes, long-term care, disability and special needs planning and charitable organizations. The section meets monthly to discuss these issues and to hear from leading attorneys and other professionals on developments in the law and on issues of importance to section members.
Ms. Carlier focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, tax planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law matters. She counsels individuals and families on developing and implementing sophisticated estate plans designed to increase, maintain, and transfer wealth in accordance with each client’s unique needs and wishes. She prepares a wide range of estate and tax planning instruments, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance directives for health care matters. Patience’s practice includes estate planning for LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as asset protection, and restructuring to assist clients in obtaining long-term medical care benefits.
