Peter Imse Reappointed to HEFA Board for a Record 9th Term
Sulloway & Hollis Member Peter Imse has served on the board continuously for 40 years.
Concord, New Hampshire – June 10, 2021 – Sulloway & Hollis Member Peter Imse was reappointed by NH Governor Chris Sununu and the Executive Council to serve a record 9th consecutive term on the board of the New Hampshire Health and Education Facilities Authority (HEFA).
HAFA is a special purpose public corporation established under New Hampshire RSA 195-D and 195-E. HEFA was established to provide not-for-profit eligible health and education institutions with access to low-cost financing for qualified projects.
Financings through HEFA’s tax-exempt bond program provide eligible borrowers with funds for major projects at tax-exempt rates, which are a fraction of taxable lending rates.
In addition to its bond financings, HEFA also offers loans to eligible borrowers through its Capital Loan Program and Direct Loan Program. The interest rates charged by HEFA for these loans are below market rates.
The interest savings on the HEFA lending programs enable participating institutions to further their charitable missions. Borrowers from HEFA include colleges, universities and secondary schools, hospitals and other healthcare institutions, social service organizations and charter schools.
